About

Crystal Lake, Crystal Township Michigan

Crystal Lake, located in the heart of Crystal Township Michigan
Crystal Township,_Montcalm_County,_Michigan

and is approximately one hour drive North of Lansing and one hour drive North of Grand Rapids.

It is a 724 acre recreational boating lake of varying depths up to 90ft.

We have paved roads circling its entire 5 mile perimeter making it a regular destination for walkers, bike riders, golf carts and car rides.

We have a Sailing Club, Roller Rink, Race Car Dirt Track, Ice Cream shack, two bars, restaurant, grocery store, gas stations and shops.

The annual Fourth of July celebration here is something that can't be explained, you have to experience it.

During the winter months, the lake transforms into a winter wonderland with cross country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing and snow shoeing.

Crystal Lake is truly a year around destination.

Per our by-laws, every year we have an annual meeting on the Saturday or two following the fourth of July where members can be nominated, and elected to a three year term.

We encourage you to show up, both listen and be heard, perhaps serve a term.

These are all non-paid volunteer positions however some do have stipends to cover costs.

As of 2024 we have now over 400 active members.

By far the most important thing we do is Water Quality. We monitor, hire weed control engineers and applicators to stay ahead of invasive species. Our weed control program is second to none having started this program early many years ago. So far, we have been able to use self generated funds to stay ahead and have not resorted to mandated tax districts like others have suffered with . Its our memberships desire to continue this program handling it ourselves. Please join and be a part of keeping our lake pristine.
